And Don't Forget To Enjoy The Ride...

CHANGE=TIME+ACTION

You know where you are now, and you have plans and dreams to be in a different place in say a year, two or even five years time. What do your dreams represent? I would like to believe they represent the passage of time, but is it enough just to have dreams of a time to come? A time when you will be richer, fitter, happier or all 3?

In the pursuit of our dreams we forget one very important aspect, and that is having fun while we are doing it. More often than not we get so consumed with the end result and we more or less put "living" aside until we achieve what we want. BUT, and it's a big but, what if we don't achieve those desires? Does that mean we would have put our lives on hold for nothing? Personally I would say yes, but what do I know.

All I can say is whatever grand schemes you are working on, do remember to enjoy your life as it is now. Please feel free to add comments and share your dreams. You never know where that might lead you, it is also part of taking action, an important part of the change equation.

Attitude is everything!

Collins: English Dictionary Definition (Meaning) of

Hands up anyone who has ever moaned about the bus being late, or the coffee at the cafe being cold, or the weather being miserable and dreary? Well I am one of you then, because at one time or another I have moaned and groaned about something that just wan not right by my standards. Not to say I can make a better cup of coffee, or that I can promise I would not moan of the heat were I to be lucky enough to live in say India.

Well the point I am driving at is this, each and every one of us has moaned about someone or something at one point or another and some of us still do. Maybe you have just moaned about how slow this page was at loading up, well my apologies, I promise to make it faster for you next time. Happy? Well go on and give us a smile then.

Have you also noticed the outcome of your moaning? Do things suddenly and magically turn out better? Does that cup of coffee all of a sudden become one to die for? Does the bus suddenly appear like something out of a Harry Potter film? and lastly does the sun appear from behind the clouds, the rain stops and the birds come out singing? The answer is a big fat NO, moaning does not make things better apart from sending you to an early grave thats what.

The message I have for you today is "Change your attitude". I know it is not an easy thing to do but all you have to do is try. Sometimes that is all you have to do, take a leap of faith and next time something "seems" to go wrong just take a minute to catch your thoughts. For once a wise man told me "If ever you do one thing and one thing only, be careful of your thoughts, for you thoughts become your actions and your actions become your destiny" I will leave that message with you now and I hope you will join me for the next instalment and remember be happy and smile a lot, even when you are drinking crap cup of coffee and waiting for the bus in the rain.
